Explore London with Santander Cycles Day Pass

Sightseeing in London is now easier than ever with the launch of the Santander Cycles Day Pass. With unlimited 30 minute-rides rom £3 per day, you can explore the City’s eclectic array of attractions at your own pace. Time to get pedalling – one day, 10 iconic locations 🚲👇

📍Begin your adventure at Boxpark Shoreditch

Enjoy a stroll around this retail park housed in repurposed shipping containers. We love to browse the pop-up shops which always have distinct and curated fashion, accessories, and lifestyle products. Pick up a Santander Cycle from your closest docking station – they’re only a short walk away from all the locations listed in this blog

📍 Pedal your way to the famous Brick Lane

This street is renowned for its vintage shops, 24 hour Beigels and colourful street art. You can’t visit Brick Lane without trying a South Asian restaurant and with such a huge selection it’s hard to choose. We recommend visiting Sheba for some of the best Indian cuisine in the city, in our opinion.

📍 Just a few minutes away by cycle is Spitalfields Market.

Here history and modernity converge in a marketplace brimming with artisanal crafts, vintage finds, and, if you’re not already full at this point, street food. It’s the best place to find hidden treasures or the perfect gift.

📍 It took us about 10 minutes to cycle to the Barbican

Famous for both its architectural innovation and for being Europe’s largest multi-arts venue, there’s always performances and exhibitions around here. In contrast to the Barbican’s Brutalist Design, the conservatory offers a green sanctuary in amongst a concrete jungle (also a great spot for Instagram).

📍 Back on the bikes, we spent 20 minutes cycling to The Royal Exchange

Here you’ll find the Fortnum & Mason bar and some of the most beautiful architecture in the city. Keep your eye out for St. Paul’s on the way!

📍 Recharged, we gave ourselves a history lesson at St Dunstan’s in the East Church Garden

This is a hidden oasis nestled amidst the City’s skyscrapers. Following the blitz in World War II, the original church was left in ruins for 25 years, bar the original steeple designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Eventually the City of London decided the space would be utilised as the garden. We highly recommend visiting in the spring when the wisteria and flowers are in full bloom.

📍 No visit to London is complete without a pilgrimage to the Tower of London

Here you can explore its storied chambers, the Crown Jewels, and take in all the fantastic views that only London can provide.

📍 You can’t miss The Shard

This iconic tower is Western Europe’s tallest building. It’s a magnificent sight from the ground, and if you want to venture inside it offers panoramic views of the awesome skyline.

📍 The best place to conclude your cycling adventure is Borough Market

This market is a foodie paradise with all the culinary treasures you could ask for.

After pedalling all over London, you deserve to take a load off and sample some of the artisanal delicacies from around the world.

Thanks to Santander Cycle’s Day Pass, navigating London’s best attractions has never been easier or more affordable.

So, hop on your bike and let the city unfold before you. Happy cycling! 🚲
