Cycle the festive sights with Santander Cycles

One of the best way to enjoy London dressed up for the festivities is by bike! 🤩

Hey, it’s Kseniia, a London-based content creator, and this here’s my favourite festive cycle route ending at Winter Wonderland.👇

Start at Eccleston Place

👌 Start your journey at Eccleston Place docking station, just a five minute walk from Victoria Station.

Santander Cycles docking stations are located in convenient places right by popular attractions and are easy to find on the Santander Cycles app or on the website.

You can hire a Santander Cycle for just £1.65 for 30 minutes. It’s a great value for money and allows you to see more of London for less during the busy festive period.

You can hire via the app or at the docking station with debit or credit card. 🙌

E-bikes are also available to book via the app or with a membership. To locate the nearest e-bike, you can check for a special electric sign on the Santander Cycles app map view.

Cycle along Elizabeth Street

Once you’ve hired your bike, start by cycling along Elizabeth Street to see all the decorations around Belgravia.

The highlights include:
✨ Bayley & Sage
✨ Peggy Porschen Cafe
✨ Tomtom Coffee House
✨ Deere installation by the Jo Loves Store

Stop at Motcomb Street

Next stop is Motcomb Street for more festive sightseeing. 🎄

This area is full of cosy cafes, restaurants and shops. It’s the perfect place for a short coffee break to enjoy the festive atmosophere.

The highlights include:
✨ Neill Strain Floral Couture store
✨ Cafe Kitsune
✨ Anya’s Grotto
✨ Mosimann’s Hotel
✨ Fiona Finds
✨ Lanesborough Hotel

Cycle towards Hyde Park

Then cycle towards Hyde Park, which is your final destination and where you’ll find Winter Wonderland. ❄️

While at Hyde Park you can also enjoy a variety of cycling routes along the lake. The closest docking stations to Winter Wonderland include:
🚲 Hyde Park Corner
🚲 Albert Gate Hyde Park
🚲 Serpentine Car Park
🚲 Park Lane Hyde Park

This route takes up to 30 minutes and is perfect for exploring your own city. Although winter in London can be quite chilly, if you wrap up warm, it’s still a great time of year to enjoy cycling.

Get cycling this winter ☃️

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to explore during this time and experience the festive atmosphere at the Christmas markets, live music at Covent Garden or admire the lights at Regent Street. 👏
