WeWork your way around the city

WeWork No 1 Poultry lounge area in office

9-5, grey office days are fading-out. In their place: flexible working, better-work life balance, and cool, comfortable workspaces with generous perks. Otherwise known as โ€˜WeWorkโ€™. ๐Ÿ’ป

With over 50 WeWork buildings in London alone, you can enter locations near home, or elsewhere in the city. Think Shepherd’s Bush on Monday, Waterloo on Wednesday, and East London on Friday. And with WeWork All Access, a monthly membership, you can book desks and meeting rooms by the day, all across London. You can take your pick of lively coworking spaces across the map to focus on deadlines, meet with clients (in bookable meeting rooms), and collaborate with colleagues from different offices.

Better yet, with TfLโ€™s transport links, including Santander Cycles, you can shorten your commute, travel more sustainably, and spice up your Monday-Friday. ๐Ÿšฒ

We’ve put together new commute inspiration for you to try (hint: there might be a little offer for you at the end too!) ๐Ÿ‘‡

Monday: start West

WeWork 184 Shepards Bush Road, W6

If thereโ€™s one thing every Monday morning needs, itโ€™s unlimited coffee. โ˜•

Add heaps of natural light, a cheery Community Team, and an easy route to work, and your week is off to an epic start. Youโ€™ll find all of that at 184 Shepherdโ€™s Bush Road. With its large, industrial windows and a mix of private offices, meeting rooms, lounges, and desks, this WeWork is the perfect place to tackle your to-do list.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ Travel tip: Hammersmith station is just 6 minutes away. Tubes run up until midnight, so you can head to Hammersmith Apollo after work for some live entertainment.

Tuesday: to the City

Just minutes from Moorgate station, WeWork Moor Place offers 8 floors of flexible workspace in Londonโ€™s financial district. Inside, youโ€™ll find quiet workspaces, bookable meeting rooms, and seating areas for enjoying lunch with your workmates (or soon-to-be mates).

The building is surrounded by eclectic neighbours, like the Barbican Centre, and a number of quality pubs. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Travel tip: If you want to switch up your location during the day, then hop on a Santander Cycle to another nearby WeWork. One Poultry, The City is just a 5 minute cycle away. Its โ€˜clock roomโ€™ is one of WeWorkโ€™s worst-kept secret work spots, with views over Bank from behind a giant clock face. Better yet, itโ€™s close to a number of Tube stations, like Bank and Cannon Street, so once your day is done, you can be on your way home in no time.

Wednesday: a midweek pick-me-up

WeWork 10 York Road, SE1

At 16 storeys high, 10 York Road is Londonโ€™s largest WeWork, offering epic views of St Paulโ€™s Cathedral and beyond. Inside, thereโ€™s space for every type of worker, from a quiet library for focused work, to breakout areas for creative collaboration. ๐Ÿค“

Enjoy a lunchtime feast at the in-house pizzeria and, when the clock strikes 5, head to 10 York Roadโ€™s very own speakeasy. One push of the 9th-floor bookshelf and youโ€™re inside a private lounge – complete with pool table.

๐Ÿ‘๐ŸฝTravel tip: Travel to Waterloo by water. Uber Boat by Thames Clipper stops at London Eye Waterloo Pier, just a 5 minute walk to 10 York Road along the iconic South Bank.

Thursday: soak up some history

Head to St Katharine’s Way when the sun is out and lap up the panoramic views of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and St Katherine docks from the windows of WeWork. ๐Ÿ˜

Overlooking the water, this workspace was made for a midweek pick-me-up. It’s definitely worth a visit if youโ€™re new to London (or utilising a WeWork All Access pass while travelling). Its coworking spaces are nestled inside a historic building, with a private terrace to enjoy in warmer months too.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Travel tip: Tower Hill underground and Tower Gateway DLR stations are close by, making it easy to travel around. There’s nothing like a walk around St Katherine docks, especially in warmer climes. However, if you fancy heading further afield for lunch or after work, grab a Santander Cycle and in less than 10 minutes you can be at London Bridge where you’ll find the infamous Borough Market.

Friday: end in the East

WeWork 30 Churchill Place coworking space
WeWork 30 Churchill Place, E14

Are you really a Londoner if you werenโ€™t excited for the Elizabeth line to open? ๐Ÿ’œ

For a visit to a slick workspace with bright spaces, and an enjoyable commute thanks to the Elizabeth line, 30 Churchill Place will probably be your favourite WeWork. 5 floors of coworking space, a central atrium bursting with natural light, and a Community Team on hand to help with any issues. Itโ€™s definitely a great place to finish your week.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Travel tip: Take the Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line, or DLR into central London from Canary Wharf station.
