London is blessed with almost every kind of transport. Seeing how many different kinds of travel you can fit in one day is a great way to see the sights and have fun, especially with children. So, why not make the most of it and have a transport-themed day out just like we did?
We have a top day out in Greenwich for 2 people to give away, taking in the Cutty Sark, The Royal Observatory and a meal for 2 at the Rivington Greenwich. To enter, just email the name of your favourite boat or ship from any period of history to: competitions@Tfl.gov.uk (Boaty McBoatface is not admissible).
Love boats? The East End is rich in maritime history – and you can explore lots of it via the DLR. On our visit we started out at St Katharine Docks, not far from Tower Gateway.
It’s a little hidden gem away from the bustle around Tower Bridge and lovely to wander around. We’re running a #DLR30 competition to win a very special experience for 2. To enter, just send an email completing this line (15 words or fewer) to Competitions@TfL.gov.uk. “My favourite view in the world is…”
Enjoy a lazy day on the river or hop on and off at some of London’s most famous attractions. Pop into a market or café for lunch, and maybe try to clock up some of our 30 things to do via the DLR (many of which are accessible from the Thames).
