🏰 Climb the Garden Museum’s Medieval Tower

The medieval tower is the oldest part of the building of the Garden Museum, and was built in In 1377; it was repaired in 1834-1835, but is otherwise intact and visitors can climb the tower for views across London.

This summer visit the Mobile Arboretum in Cheapside – a series of ‘carts’ which are filled with saplings to create a new home for trees. The Arboretum is inspired by the collective history of London’s historic markets. Cheapside, and nearby Aldgate which has a similar installation, have been or still are hubs of activity and trade in London from the medieval produce and poultry markets of Cheapside to the buzzing fabric markets of Petticoat Lane. Part of London Festival of Architecture.
In a tunnel beneath Waterloo Station, The Vaults theatre hosts a hidden jazz club, secret cinema and modern takes on classic cabaret like the fantastic Mulan Rouge.
