What’s going on in London? – walking and cycling

There are a variety of major events in London throughout the year. These events are a great opportunity to enjoy traffic-free roads and walk or cycle part of your journey. ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿšด

October

  • 14 October – Royal Parks Half Marathonย ๐Ÿƒ
    This half marathon will take you through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St Jamesโ€™ Park and Green Park
  • 22 – 25 Cycle Confident in Tower Hamlets ๐Ÿšด
  • 24 – 26 Cycle Training in Havering
  • Every Tuesday – Hounslow cycle training sessions
    Open to adults and children, beginners and confident cyclists
  • Weekly – Greenwich Health Walks
    Enjoy these weekly led walks exploring areas of Greenwich’s rich heritage.๐Ÿšถ

November

  • 3 November – Regent Street Motor Showย ๐Ÿš˜
    A showcase of 125 years of motoring on Regent Street
  • 10 November โ€“ the Lord Mayorโ€™s Showย 
    This will follow a traffic-free route around the City from Bank to Temple
  • 10 November โ€“ The Service of Remembrance Held at the Cenotaph in Whitehall
  • 18 November – Fulham 10kย ๐Ÿƒ
    This running event will take you through Fulham
  • Dates to be confirmed – Oxford St and Regents Street Christmas Lights Switch Onย ๐ŸŽ„ will mean road closures around these areas
