London sightseeing – we join City Cruises on the Thames

On Saturday June 3rd, we helped organise a fantastic river meet-up with Instagrammers London – a group of photographers who arrange hugely popular photo meet-ups, with our boat for the morning kindly provided by City Cruises. The trip highlighted the amazing photo opportunities available onboard City Cruises’ services, and with summer finally here, why not take a look at their website for details of all the sightseeing cruises they have to offer.

Here is a summary of the trip the Instagrammers took, and a flavour of some of the amazing sights you can expect to see on a Thames river cruise:

Our City Cruises boat arrives at Westminster Pier bright and early.

First aboard! Waiting for the boat to fill up before we can set sail.
We see The Shard on our left as we head on towards Tower Bridge
Passing by HMS Belfast with Tower Bridge up ahead.
We’re lucky enough to be just in time for a road lift on Tower Bridge. Everyone is suitably excited!
An amazing view of some of London’s famous new buildings, with the Tower of London in the foreground
Another great view of HMS Belfast and The Shard on the way back towards Westminster.
Back at Westminster Pier and a chance for some great shots of Big Ben and Parliament.
Passing under Westminster Bridge as we wait for one last, iconic photo opportunity!
And here it is – seeing these iconic buildings from a fresh perspective is a great way to finish!
Thanks to everyone who came along, and an extra special thank you to City Cruises
